It is sourced from local farms & stables and turned regularly at our yard over many months to make our easy to use low odour rich dark compost. Backhurst Farmyard Manure Compost has had no chemicals or pesticides added so is a perfect fertiliser for the organic gardener. It is suitable for digging into Topsoil to use as a soil improver, enriching tired soils holding moisture and increasing fertility. For best results apply Backhurst Farmyard Manure Compost 3 inches deep over the soil and fork it in at a depth of 6-8 inches.
